Age Criteria OPSC Assistant Section Officer

For the post of Assistant Section Officer in Odisha, the age limit is between 21 years to maximum 32 years.
Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to reserve category applicants like SC, ST, Women, and ex-servicemen.
For a person with 40% or more disability, the age relaxation is up to 10 years.
Any person who is disabled and belongs to the SC/ST category will get a cumulative Age relaxation of 15 years.

Salary Scale

• The salary scale for an assistant Section Officer is Rs 35,400/-.

Education Qualification

Candidates must pass their bachelor’s degree in any stream from any Indian recognised University. The candidate also has a good knowledge of computer applications, as already mentioned in the notification.

Selection Process

• A written exam will be conducted for the post of Assistant Section Officer. There are 03 papers conducted total of 400 marks.
• There is also a skill test in computer, which is 50 marks in length, conducted.
• A final ranking will be based on the aggregate marks of the skill test and written exam.

• Applicants should have a good command of the Odia language. Can easily read, write, a speak Odia.
• Candidates should also pass the middle school exam/ matriculation in Odia as a language subject.

• Applicants should be physically and mentally healthy for this job.
